Hey heroes, Kolz here. Today, I'll walk you through the strategy for the Dice Dash Event in Heroes vs. Hordes. The current event is the Lunar New Year Dice Dash, but this strategy applies to every dice dash type event.
A Dice Dash is a quest-based event to earn dice rolls. You use those Dice Rolls to move around a board with rewards.
That's great because you can put in the time and the runs to get rewards.
In this guide, I'm going to go over:
Let's get rolling!
In dice dash events, you complete quests to roll dice to move across a board. You can sometimes get magic dice to select a specific number to roll. If you land on items, they get added to your treasury, a little box in the center of the dice-dash board.
If you get around the entire board and cross "go," like in Monopoly, you get rewarded with the rewards in your treasury.
If you land on the gold token spaces, you can exchange those for additional prizes. For this event, the Snake Emperor hero is the big prize, but other events may have weapons or pets.
They also have Jade Eggs, which are specific to the event and usually contain a special pet.
You can also exchange them for a standard set of rewards.

DON'T use up all your neutral stones, so you can always promote a pet when the quests come. You will need 1* fodder pet later anyway.
Jewels: The jewels are great if you are a new player. If you are already a seasoned player, then no. Especially as they lowered the amount you can buy in that shop from 5 to 1. So earlier, you could get 5 level 5 area jewels or 5 level 5 weakness jewels and create a level 7 weakness jewel. That was awesome. Now it just takes too much time.
NOOOO. Don't buy gold keys. You can get 100 energy for fewer coins. And then with Santa and red gear get about 2 or 3 runs with every two golden keys, which will result in 4-6 golden keys for fewer coins!- Cubedjjm
You can save magic dice for later in the event and try to hit the 200 coin spot naturally via regular dice the first several times around the board.
The one thing that's unfortunate about Lunar Dice Dash, or any of these Dice Dash events, is that it's RNG-based. It depends on your dice rolls to determine the maximum rewards you can get. For a typical person playing free-to-play, you will not get the Snake Emperor.
There's no way you're going to get the necessary 4,500 coins.
You'd have to roll optimal dice every single time and you'll be rolling it ~50 times. The odds are like one in a bajillion—like honestly, a bajillion (.12^50). It's just not going to happen. So, you will have to pay if you want the Snake Emperor from this event.
That being said, it is quest-based, meaning you can still get many resources from playing.
The general gist of the event is rolling the dice.
With that in mind, you want to get high-number dice rolls. Those are better than low ones because they help you get around the board quicker, which leads to more chances to get event tokens.
You want to land on the event tokens. Those event tokens you see on the board are your best landing values.
For this first roll, we're aiming for six. That'll get us to land directly on the 50-event tokens spot in the bottom left corner.
The two interesting spaces to note quickly:
That 200 event token space in the top-middle is the best thing you can get on the board. You want to use the gold dice to land on it as soon as passing the previous event token space.
The gold magic dice lets you maximize your rewards. You should always use it to land on the 200 event token space in the top middle of the board as soon as you pass or land on the 50 event token space..
For example, Let's say you pass the 50 event token and hit the money spot. Then, use the gold magic die to roll a five and land on the 200 event token.
If it's your last event roll, you could also use it to land on a 100 event token spot.
Quests are how you earn dice rolls. There are eight quests per day, and you complete them by following the text instructions.
For example, I defeated 97,000 enemies.
However, I couldn't complete the "promote a pet" quest because I didn't have any neutral stones.
Some quests might ask you to use specific pets or heroes. For example, "Complete three runs with Sparknibble."
You must complete three runs with Sparknibble as your equipped active pet.
The Snake Emperor is the best reward, but it's unlikely to get without spending money. Many players like Jade Eggs for the special pets, but I prefer focusing on the jewels.
These are the best bang for your buck in my opinion.
If you decide to spend money, avoid buying dice rolls. They're too unpredictable.

Reader Submitted Tip From @DiscreteWavelet The only thing I would like to add is to check the webshop before making any purchases. Gold coins are available there for cheaper.
And that's the Lunar Dice Dash run-through! This new RNG-heavy event still provides solid rewards through quests and strategic dice use.
Good luck out there, heroes, and remember, always do your adventures!
